Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

Wordsprout ("the app") is a vocabulary-learning app built by an independent developer. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it's used.

What we collect

When you create an account (via Apple, Google, or email/password), we store your email address, a display name if provided, and a unique account ID. The vocabulary decks, cards, and review history you create in the app are stored so they can sync across your devices.

What we don't collect

We do not collect advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, or any data for advertising or tracking purposes. Wordsprout has no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

How your data is stored

Your data is stored locally on your device and synced to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication), which acts as our data processor. Access is restricted so that only you can read or write your own data.

Account deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account, inside the app. This removes every deck, card, and review record from our servers immediately.

Third parties

We use Google Firebase for authentication and data storage, and Apple/Google sign-in for authentication where you choose to use them. We do not sell or share your data with any other third party.

Children

Wordsprout is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
